My approach to healing stems from the knowing that we have the innate potential to heal ourselves. This knowing has been validated throughout my life in observation of others and myself. Through my own personal journey, I have encountered and overcome many obstacles. Among them, Crohn’s disease, numerous broken bones, sexual abuse, depression, and trauma. With everything that happened, I investigated my part in it first. Then, a way to heal and surrender to it so I could be free. I offer Release Intensives in the spirit of gratitude, love, and determined commitment; qualities I have gained through my own personal healing journey.
My inspiration comes from many places. Through all my years of studying, Emily Conrad, the founder of Continuum Movement, stands out for me as the most profound influence in my healing work. She taught me through sound and micro-movement what wondrous healing can occur. Emily taught me the importance of being fluid in life both mentally and physically.
I am also grateful to John Barnes, the founder of Myofascial Release, a technique I use frequently in Release Intensives. With the use of gentle, long held pressure on the fascia (connective tissue), the unwinding of trauma begins.
Outside of “formal” education, nature is my constant teacher and where I feel at “home”. Running, hiking, or sitting away from all the stimuli has always been the medicine of my choosing. When working with others, I bring that calm grounded energy forward.
